The active case count has decreased to 1,922, representing 0.01% of total infections. The country’s death toll stands at 5,30,737. The daily positivity rate is at 0.07% and the weekly positivity rate is at 0.08%. The national recovery rate is at 98.81%. A total of 220.32 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive.

Additionally, the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has increased to 4,41,49,547, and the case fatality rate is recorded at 1.19%. It’s worth noting that India’s COVID-19 case count had surpassed several milestones in the past, such as 20 lakh on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and 1 crore on December 19.
