India’s projected 8 percent growth rate in the financial year 2024 and the burgeoning US-India partnership in various sectors like defence and technology formed the backdrop of Garcetti’s comments. The ties between the two nations have further strengthened through collaborations in initiatives such as Quad and I2U2.

In a separate development, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan highlighted the deepening partnership between the two countries, particularly in technology and security sectors. Sullivan expressed confidence in the strong standing of the US in its global relationships despite evolving geopolitical dynamics.
