Congress Leaders Meet Bangladesh PM in Delhi

Senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Delhi on Monday. The meeting highlights ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries, emphasizing the significance of regional cooperation.

The Congress Party shared the news via their official Twitter account, noting that the meeting occurred in the afternoon. This visit underscores the importance of maintaining strong ties with Bangladesh.

Opposition parties criticized Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar regarding their limited roles in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Union ministry. Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut remarked that the minimal representation given to these leaders by the BJP indicates their diminished influence.

Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar stated that if the Ajit Pawar-led NCP does not accept the Minister of State (MoS) position, they should not expect any future cabinet berths. Baramati MP Supriya Sule expressed her lack of surprise at the exclusion of Ajit Pawar-led NCP from the cabinet.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s event to thank voters has been moved from Amethi to Raebareli. This decision was made due to the intense heat in Amethi, according to Pradeep Singhal, the district unit chief of Amethi.

Newly elected Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma will join Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi at the event. The change of location ensures a more comfortable environment for attendees.

The Election Commission has announced by-elections for 13 seats across seven states on July 10. This announcement sets the stage for important electoral contests that could impact regional political dynamics.

All eyes are on the NDA Cabinet meeting today, as the new cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi will decide on portfolio allocations. The outcome of this meeting is highly anticipated, with significant implications for the government’s functioning.

The first meeting of PM Modi’s 3.0 Cabinet was scheduled for 5 pm today. This meeting marks the beginning of the new administration’s work and will likely set the tone for future governance.
