Govt of Haryana on Monday side-lined the whistle-blower IAS officer Ashok Khemka (IAS:1991:HY) again. Effecting a small bureaucratic rejig comprising five officers it notified that Khemka Additional Chief Secretary, Dept of Science & Technology was moved to Archives Dept. Earlier also, he was given this low-key assignment. Interestingly, of five reshuffled officers four belong to Haryana Civil Service. Khemka is lone IAS officer in the list which drew attention. 

Srinagar: Former Indian Police officer Basant Kumar Rath (Retd IPS: 2000: AGMUT) took to Twitter by saying that he would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the next Parliamentary elections in 2024.

In a Tweet, Rath said that he would stay and work in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He also said he won’t go back to Odisha.

A total of 187 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) belonging to various cadres and batches are due to reach the age of Superannuation in 2023.

A 1987 batch IRS-IT officer Geetha Ravichandran, IRS, Principal Chief  Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai in the race for post of Member, CBDT.

A 1987 batch Jharkahand cadre IPS officer Neeraj Sinha IPS, DGP, Jharkhand is scheduled to retire in February 2023.

The central deputation tenure of Surendra Kumar Ahirwar (IRTS:1997), currently working as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, was extended for a period of one year beyond 08.01.2023.

Sachindra Kumar Patnaik (IRSS:1997) was appointed as Executive Director (North Zone) (JS level), Food Corporation of India (FCI), Noida for a tenure of five years. He replaces Sanjiv Kumar (IAS:1992:AGMUT).

Pankaj Krishnarao Uke (IRTS:1999) was appointed as Chairperson (JS level), Mormugao Port Trust (MoPT), Goa for a period of five years. He replaces E Ramesh Kumar (IAS:1999:MP).

Dr Srinivas Hanumankar (IRPS) was appointed as Member (HR), Airport Authority of India (AAI) on immediate absorption basis till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 30.11.2025.

Sandeep Govil (ITS & CGM, BSNL) was appointed as Director (Consumer Mobility), BSNL on an immediate absorption basis till the date of his superannuation i.e 31.07.2026.

ACC has approved the proposal for premature repatriation of Shri Abhyuday A. Anand, IRS(IT:2009), Deputy Secretary, Lokpal, to his parent cadre with the condition of extended cooling off. He may be relieved of his duties immediately with directions to report to his parent cadre.

ACC has approved the proposal of Ministry of External Affairs for the appointment of Dr Shubhankar Mishra, Joint Director, Directorate of Education, Ministry of Education to the post of Deputy Secretary General, World Hindi Secretariat, Port Louis, Mauritius for a period of 3 years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Anurag Kumar (ED, ECIL) to the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.01.2026.

S Damodar Bhattad (GM, BEL) was appointed as Director (Finance) in Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.12.2026.
