Jio AirFiber is based on Jio’s true-5G technology, which is built on standalone (SA) technology, unlike Bharti Airtel’s non-standalone (NSA) technology. This gives Jio an edge over its competitors in terms of speed and reliability. Jio promises the same speed on the cellular 5G network as well.
As for the installation process, Jio’s website reveals that setting up Jio AirFiber is as simple as plugging it in and turning it on. Once turned on, Jio AirFiber will establish a personal Wi-Fi hotspot at home, which will help users connect their devices to ultra-high-speed internet using True 5G.
The official launch date for Jio AirFiber is yet to be announced. However, a recent report by The Economic Times suggests that it might hit the market in the next few months. RIL President Kiran Thomas expressed his confidence in the wireless internet service, saying that it will “accelerate the company’s connected homes strategy.”
