Khalistan Protest at Indian High Commission in London

Khalistan supporters staged a protest outside the Indian High Commission in London, with British security forces deployed to maintain order. Protestors were restricted to the opposite side of the street from the High Commission.

This demonstration occurred shortly after Khalistani extremists prevented Vikram Doraiswami, the Indian High Commissioner to the UK, from entering a gurdwara in Glasgow, Scotland. India reported the incident to the British government, urging stringent action against those responsible.

The gurdwara, where Doraiswami was denied entry, released a statement condemning the incident, describing it as a disruption of the peaceful proceedings of a Sikh place of worship.

Anne-Marie Trevelyan, UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific, expressed concern over the incident, emphasizing the utmost importance of the safety and security of foreign diplomats and the accessibility of places of worship to all.

This protest echoes a similar event held in July, where Khalistan supporters displayed posters featuring Vikram Doraiswami and the Consul General of India in Birmingham, Shashank Vikram, inciting anti-India sentiments.
