MIND VOICE NEWS-Google Bard AI Chatbot Comes to India to Compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT

Google has introduced its new AI chatbot, Google Bard, in India, which can be accessed via the official website bard.google.com. This announcement was made at Google I/O 2023, where it was revealed that Bard would be available in over 180 countries, including India, and is a direct competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

To access Bard, users simply need to visit the bard.google.com website, where they will be informed that the chatbot is still in development and being tested. They can then choose to ‘try Bard’, agree to the Privacy permission, and access the chatbot. Initially, Bard was only available in the UK and the US, but it has now been made available in India as well.

While Bard is now accessible to users in India, it is important to note that the chatbot is still in its experimental stage and is prone to inaccuracies. Google has warned users to double-check information provided by Bard’s responses, as some of them may be incorrect.

One of the key differences between Google Bard and ChatGPT is that Bard will remain up to date with the latest developments. Unlike ChatGPT, which has been trained on data limited to September 2021, Bard will be continuously updated with new data. Additionally, Bard can cite resources if it picks up large chunks of information from a single web page, making it more reliable than ChatGPT in certain situations.

Another advantage of Bard is that it offers multiple drafts for a single query, allowing users to choose the response that best fits their needs. Unlike ChatGPT, which follows a more natural way of typing out the answer, Bard provides the entire response in one go. However, this may be a disadvantage for some users who prefer a more conversational approach.

As both platforms continue to develop and improve, they are expected to build on their niche and offer unique features to users. While Google Bard may not be as natural as ChatGPT in its responses, it does offer certain advantages that make it a strong contender in the chatbot market.
