Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign from Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua. Addressing a rally in the tribal-dominated district, PM Modi urged voters to secure an additional 370 votes in each booth, aiming for the BJP to win 370 Lok Sabha seats, surpassing their 2019 victory of 303 seats.
Expressing confidence in the BJP, PM Modi asserted that the party would independently achieve the 370-seat milestone in the upcoming polls. He clarified that his visit to Jhabua was not for election campaigning but as a ‘sevak’ (servant) to express gratitude to the people of Madhya Pradesh.
During his speech, PM Modi criticized the Congress, stating that they only remember villages, the poor, and farmers during elections. Emphasizing that the tribal community is not merely a vote bank but a source of pride for the country, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of their role.
PM Modi’s visit to Jhabua included the dedication and laying of the foundation stone for various development projects worth Rs 7,550 crore. This tribal outreach campaign holds significance for Madhya Pradesh, as the state has the sixth-highest number of Lok Sabha seats reserved for tribals.
