PM Modi Confident BJP-led NDA Will Secure 400 Lok Sabha Seats

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an exclusive interview with India Today TV, expressed unwavering confidence in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) prospects, foreseeing a victory in 400 Lok Sabha seats. He commended women, youth, and first-time voters for their proactive participation in the electoral process, emphasizing their decisive role in shaping the nation’s future.

Speaking from Patna, PM Modi lauded the electorate’s dedication to electing a robust government like the NDA, despite challenging conditions such as the prevailing heatwave. He reiterated his optimism regarding the realization of the ‘400 paar’ target, emphasizing its transformation from a mere slogan to an achievable reality.

Reacting to opposition skepticism regarding the NDA’s electoral success, PM Modi countered with examples of Congress leaders’ electoral strategies, highlighting instances such as Sonia Gandhi’s Rajya Sabha election and Rahul Gandhi’s choice of constituency. He attributed the opposition’s doubts to their apprehension about his tenure eclipsing theirs in achievements.

PM Modi addressed concerns about inflation, drawing historical parallels to previous administrations and emphasizing his government’s success in maintaining control over inflation rates. He debunked claims of mismanagement, asserting that inflation remains under control, contrary to past administrations’ challenges.

Highlighting his government’s developmental initiatives, PM Modi cited the proliferation of startups and employment opportunities, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. He underscored the significant impact of government schemes such as Mudra Yojana in fostering entrepreneurship and job creation, alongside substantial investments in infrastructure development.

PM Modi criticized the Congress for purportedly undermining the armed forces and obstructing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya for political gains. He rejected allegations of BJP’s intent to amend the Constitution, accusing the Congress of historical misdeeds such as curtailing freedom of speech and imposing emergency measures.

Affirming the BJP’s commitment to reservation quotas for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes, PM Modi emphasized that reservations would remain based on socio-economic factors rather than religion. He denounced attempts to politicize the reservation system, pledging to uphold the principles laid out by BR Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly.
