Time to Prioritize Common Man: Rahul Gandhi Criticizes PM Modi

In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused him of forgiving loans totaling Rs 16 lakh crore for select billionaires. Gandhi argued that this enormous sum could have sustained a transformative initiative like MGNREGA for 24 years, underscoring the need to redirect government resources towards the welfare of ordinary citizens.

Gandhi emphasized that while the government has been generous towards its “friends,” it is now imperative to allocate resources to benefit the common people. This critique aligns with Congress’s ongoing criticism of the central government’s economic policies and its commitment to implementing various welfare programs for marginalized communities in the country.

The Wayanad MP reaffirmed Congress’s pledge to conduct a comprehensive financial and institutional survey aimed at understanding wealth distribution across the nation if the party assumes power. Additionally, he reiterated the party’s promise to conduct a nationwide caste census to ascertain the demographic composition, particularly focusing on Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and minorities.

Rahul Gandhi’s statements reflect Congress’s determination to ensure equitable distribution of resources and provide every citizen with their rightful share. This vision underscores the party’s commitment to prioritize the needs and concerns of the common man in governance and policy-making.
